Yohji Yamamoto‘s edgy conceptual project Wildside has teamed up with luxury cashmere brand God’s True Cashmere for a captivating unisex collaboration. This partnership brings together the avant-garde ethos of Wildside Yohji Yamamoto and the quiet luxury of God’s True Cashmere, resulting in two unique shirt designs that showcase meticulous tailoring and unexpected details.
The collaboration features a button-down shirt adorned with 11 semi-precious stone snaps, a nod to numerology’s perfect number. Seven of these snaps are strategically placed on the front to align with the wearer’s chakras, adding a meaningful and spiritual element to the garment.
The first shirt in the collection seamlessly blends Wildside Yohji Yamamoto’s signature fit, known for its effortless style, with a reinterpretation of God’s True Cashmere patterns. Accented with a plum tartan and rose quartz buttons, the black shirt is available in one size, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to exclusivity and uniqueness.
The second shirt maintains the classic, unisex silhouette of God’s True Cashmere while incorporating the striking visual aesthetic of Wildside Yohji Yamamoto. Available in medium and XL sizes, this black and burgundy shirt features black sunstone buttons that add a touch of understated elegance to the design.

Crafted with the utmost care in Italy, each shirt is produced in limited quantities, ensuring that the collaboration remains exclusive and highly sought after. The shirts, priced at $2,800 USD, debuted at the Wildside Yohji Yamamoto Harajuku store in Laforet, Tokyo, and will also be available at the brand’s Osaka store and online. For fashion enthusiasts outside of Japan, the limited edition shirts will be available exclusively at Just One Eye in Los Angeles.
Sat Hari, co-founder of God’s True Cashmere, expressed her excitement about the project: “The collaboration challenged the traditional concept of what a God’s True Cashmere shirt can be, exploring lines and deconstruction in a way that is quintessentially Yohji Yamamoto, resulting in a unique garment which embraces our love for craftsmanship and luxury.”
This collaboration marks another milestone for Wildside Yohji Yamamoto, which has actively partnered with various brands and artists to release a diverse range of items across multiple genres. By using black, the symbol of Yohji Yamamoto Inc. as a concept color, the brand continues to push the boundaries of fashion, art, interior design and lifestyle.
God’s True Cashmere was born out of a search for the perfect gift. When Sat Hari searched for a one-of-a-kind green cashmere shirt to give to her partner and co-owner, Brad Pitt, the seeds of their casual luxury brand were planted. Launching in 2019 from their Los Angeles base, the couple has steadily nurtured and expanded their vision.
What sets God’s True Cashmere apart is their unwavering commitment to quality and spirituality. Each shirt is made from 100% pure cashmere and features healing stone buttons that are precisely placed to align with the body’s energy centers, known as chakras. This attention to detail and holistic approach has earned the brand a loyal following.
Despite the brand’s growing reputation, God’s True Cashmere remains exclusive, with a presence in only about 30 carefully selected stores worldwide. Shirts command prices in excess of $2,000 USD, reflecting the brand’s commitment to luxury and craftsmanship. In a world of constant discounting and sales, God’s True Cashmere remains steadfast in its commitment to never mark down its prices, ensuring that the value and prestige of each piece remains uncompromised. An important milestone was reached at the end of February with the opening of the first French retail store – a pop-up in the prestigious Le Bon Marché in Paris.
