A stroll through The Grove Los Angeles this spring could lead to an unexpected sensory delight – Chanel has unveiled a captivating activation dedicated to its latest fragrance, Chance Eau Splendide. From April 30th to May 18th, this free public installation invites fragrance lovers to discover the purple-hued creation by renowned in-house perfumer Olivier Polge.
Upon entering the area, you’ll first explore a maze with a Chance theme. During this activity, you’ll see four different words and must choose the one that feels most meaningful to you. These words have been specifically chosen to represent what Chanel stands for. Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll move on to a special feature called the “Chance Teller.” This interactive element presents you with a personalized message directly related to the word you chose.

This interactive journey perfectly complements the fragrance itself – a sophisticated blend of raspberry and rose geranium balanced with warm woods and notes of amber. In addition to Chance Eau Splendide, you can also explore the entire Chance collection, including Chance, Chance Eau Tendre, Chance Eau Fraîche and Chance Eau Vive, as well as the corresponding body products.
Visitors will have the opportunity to pose next to an oversized bottle of Chance Eau Splendide or use the special photo booth. Music lovers can visit the listening station featuring “A Little More” by Belgian singer-songwriter Angèle, the 29-year-old face of the fragrance who is a rising talent in the French-speaking world and recently performed with Phoenix at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. She has been Chanel’s beauty and fashion ambassador since 2020.

The activation welcomes guests without reservations from Monday to Thursday (10am to 9pm), Friday and Saturday (10am to 10pm) and Sunday (10am to 8pm). Meanwhile, Chance Eau Splendide is available at Chanel boutiques, department store partners, Ulta Beauty, Sephora and chanel.com, retailing for $143 USD (50ml) and $176 USD (100ml).
