In a decor with austere charm and rough walls, lit by daylight, the twenty or so silhouettes of Alexandre Vautier embody ultra glamorous power-dressing, with a sexy 80s touch.
“I wanted something stronger and sexier, because the last collection was a bit romantic”, he told WWD.
This “working girl” vision was expressed in oversize suits with short sleeves and square shoulders and in exaggerated silhouettes (voluminous sci-fi tunics and jackets, and rhomboid-shaped alligator coats). The “sexy” was seen in one-sleeve bias-cut silver sequin goddess gowns or in delicately embellished dresses with transparent panels and racy skinny mini dresses.
