The Pequignet Concorde Gold 30 mm represents something truly special in today’s women’s watch market – a perfectly proportioned timepiece that combines luxurious materials with an understated design sensibility. French watchmaker Pequignet has reimagined its signature Concorde collection in a compact 30 mm case crafted entirely in sumptuous 18-carat rose gold, creating perhaps one of the most elegant watches to debut in the spring of 2025.
When it comes to fine timepieces, the balance between size and presence is crucial. Many watch enthusiasts have recently embraced smaller case sizes, moving away from the oversized trend that dominated previous years. The new Pequignet Concorde Gold fits right in with this trend with its 30 mm diameter, which sits beautifully on smaller wrists without sacrificing visual impact.

What makes this watch particularly noteworthy goes beyond its dimensions. The cushion case design – a subtle fusion of square and circular shapes – gives the Concorde Gold a distinctive character that sets it apart from conventional round watches. This geometric interplay creates a unique silhouette that catches the eye without screaming for attention.
The bracelet deserves special mention. Crafted in the same 5N 18-carat pink gold as the case, it features what Pequignet calls “spearhead” links, a design element that refers to the Place de la Concorde obelisk in Paris, from which the collection takes its name. This thoughtful detail connects the watch to French heritage while adding visual interest to the overall design. The bracelet contains 87.36 grams of gold, making it a substantial piece despite its compact size.
As for the dial, Pequignet has chosen a silver-colored dial that provides an elegant backdrop for the rose gold hands and indices. The hour and minute hands are treated with Super-Luminova TCl to ensure visibility in low light conditions, a practical touch in an otherwise luxurious timepiece. The combination of silver and rose gold creates a warm, feminine aesthetic without resorting to clichés or overtly gendered design elements.
Under the hood, the Concorde Gold 30 mm houses an ETA E61.101 Swiss quartz movement. While mechanical purists may prefer an automatic or manual winding caliber, the quartz mechanism ensures reliability and precision without the need for constant winding. For many women who appreciate fine watches but want hassle-free operation, this is a sensible compromise between horological interest and everyday practicality.
The finishing details reflect Pequignet’s attention to craftsmanship. The crown features an embossed “fleur de lys” logo – another nod to French heritage – while the caseback, secured with four gold screws, features a vertical satin finish with an engraved Pequignet logo filled with black lacquer. These subtle touches demonstrate the brand’s commitment to quality throughout the watch.
Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, meaning that this timepiece can withstand splashes and brief immersion – sufficient for everyday activities, though not suitable for serious swimming or diving. The overall thickness measures a slim 6.60 mm, allowing the watch to slide easily under a cuff or bracelet.
Pequignet describes this new Concorde as “mini-size, maxi-chic“, and the characterization feels accurate. The watch exemplifies sporty-chic styling at its most refined, enhanced by the precious metal construction. Gold transforms this model, highlighting the contrasting polished and satin-finished surfaces that might be less dramatic in steel or other materials.

Unlike watches that simply shrink men’s designs and add decorative elements, the Concorde Gold 30 mm feels purposefully designed for smaller wrists while maintaining serious watchmaking credentials. The price reflects its premium positioning – €26,500 EUR including French VAT – and places it firmly in the luxury category.
Pequignet itself has an interesting background. Founded in 1973 by Émile Péquignet, the company was recognized as an “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company), in recognition of its contribution to French craftsmanship. The brand designs, manufactures and assembles its watches in Morteau, in the heart of the French Jura region, an area rich in watchmaking traditions.
When this watch becomes available in the spring of 2025, interested buyers will be able to find it at the Pequignet boutiques in Paris and Besançon, through their online store, or through authorized retailers. Although not limited in production, the Concorde Gold 30 mm will be part of the permanent collection.
