Far from the usual rush of the fashion show, Walter Chiapponi preferred the presentation to unveil his collection for Tod’s and the Tuscan countryside as a setting and inspirations.
Presented, as is the tradition at Tod’s, in the garden of Villa Necchi Campiglio, a masterful modernist residence in the center of Milan, the Spring/Summer 2023 collection is reminiscent of the sun-baked Tuscan hills, with its natural colors and textured fabrics inspired by nature.
Among the standout pieces are leather-lined parkas and windbreakers, a sensually light leather biker jacket, a rubberized cotton raincoat, an ochre short-sleeved silk shirt featuring a print with a marine pattern, and biker pants with leather studs.
The accessories are not to be outdone, and among them: the Gommino Bubble, a new generation version of Tod’s signature Gommino shoe that is here revitalized with a Timeless T metal buckle and a sole with oversized colored studs, the new Double Stripe shoe with its multi-layer sole, soft tote bags and backpacks declined in ethnic or athletic fabrics.
