Swiss designer Kevin Germanier stands at the precipice of fashion history. The Fédération de la Haute Couture has given Germanier the prestigious honor of closing Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2025 on January 30th at 6:00 p.m., confirming his status as one of the most innovative voices in contemporary fashion.
“A huge thank you to all those who, since 2018, have made this adventure possible,” expressed Germanier, reflecting on his upcoming couture debut. “This moment marks much more than a historic milestone for our house. It is the fulfillment of a childhood dream, that of a little boy who spent hours imagining a world where everything was possible through dolls.”
Since his memorable debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2018, Germanier has been exploring the intersection of craftsmanship and futuristic luxury. Germanier’s designs have caught the attention of avant-garde artist Björk, who selected his pieces for her 2022 tour.
One of Germanier’s greatest achievements remains the Golden Voyager look he created for the closing ceremony of the recent Paris 2024 Olympics. This golden jumpsuit, adorned with sequins and 20,000 beads, was a true masterpiece that redefined fashion’s potential to merge sustainability and couture. Alongside Paris 2024 Olympic Games Artistic director Thomas Jolly and Costume director Daphné Bürki, Germanier brought the “Golden Record” theme to life in a performance that combined art and storytelling.
The January 30th presentation promises to tell the brand’s story through every silhouette and detail. Kevin Germanier emphasizes passion and dedication with a strong commitment to upcycling, transforming existing materials into unique creations that celebrate sustainable fashion.
