The fashion industry was abuzz with anticipation as COS and Yeboah revealed their upcoming global collaboration at a fashion show in London. The event was attended by a host of celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Edward Enninful, Tinie Tempah and Riccardo Tisci.
The show began with a mesmerizing light display projected onto a large circular space, immersing guests in a visual experience inspired by the life cycle of butterflies. Poet and artist James Massiah created a custom soundscape to complement the collection’s overall theme, while kaleidoscopic patterns served as a backdrop for the models, taking guests on a journey of transformation.
As the models walked the runway, weaving through an island of guests, Massiah also performed a live spoken word piece that continued the evening’s narrative. The collection featured a blend of classic wardrobe staples and street-luxe garments in a color palette that paired dark hues with bright yellow. COS’ soft, classic fit was paired with Yeboah’s butterfly and stripe patterns, creating a sophisticated sensibility – an effortless combination of the two brands. Caps and beanies added an air of ease, while mesh hoodies and a Varsity jacket also featured. Down jackets were wrap-around, and RWS wool plaid fabrics appeared as structured jackets and a reversible vest.
Reece Yeboah is a Ghanaian designer and founder of the eponymous brand, known for its unique and modern take on African-inspired fashion. The collaboration with COS, a contemporary fashion brand known for its timeless, minimalistic designs, is a perfect match for Yeboah’s aesthetic. With this upcoming collection, the two brands have come together to create an exciting fusion of style and culture.
