A few weeks after the end of Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, Anthony Vaccarello chose the heart of the Agafay desert, about 30 kilometers south of Marrakech – Yves Saint Laurent has a special affection for the city that has shaped the aesthetics of his creations since 1966 – to present his Spring/Summer 2023 men’s collection for the Maison Saint Laurent.
Vaccarello delved into the works of writer Paul Bowles, particularly his novel ”Tea in the Sahara”, to pay homage to the personal history of the house’s founder. A very Saint Laurent minimalist collection, with elongated silhouettes, very pronounced shoulders and an elegance all in black. All irresistibly executed in fine satins, velvet, grain de poudre and buttery leather.
