Skateboarding purists know the history of the shoe. The Half Cab earned its name in 1992 when skateboarders began cutting down the original Caballero high-tops to create something with more mobility. Three decades later, this collaboration honors that inventive spirit with a sophisticated twist.

Available in black suede and burgundy suede, both versions feature off-white soles, tongues and laces for a subtle contrast. The traditional bulky skateboard padding has been completely removed, resulting in a sleeker profile that easily adapts to casual wear.

What really sets this collaboration apart is the attention to materials. Premium suede uppers give the shoes a luxurious feel, while JJJJound’s signature nylon tongue adds textural interest to the soft exterior.

The redesign maintains the Half Cab’s signature silhouette while reducing unnecessary elements. The OTW by Vans x JJJJound Half Cab demonstrates how minimalism can refresh iconic designs without sacrificing their authentic character.
