Valentino has appointed South Korean superstar Lim Yoona, the multi-talented South Korean singer, actress and model, as its latest brand ambassador.
Yoona’s rise to stardom began with her debut as a member of the iconic K-pop group Girls’ Generation in 2007. The group’s hit single “Into The New World” and self-titled album catapulted them to international fame. In addition to her musical achievements, Yoona has also carved a niche for herself in the South Korean entertainment industry as a versatile actress. Her captivating performances in TV drama series such as “King The Land” (2023) and “The Big Mouth” (2022), as well as her roles in popular movies such as “EXIT” (2019) and “Confidential Assignment” (2017), have earned her a devoted fan base worldwide.
Known for her genuine social activism and philanthropic efforts, Yoona expressed her excitement about her new role as a Valentino brand ambassador. “I am incredibly delighted and grateful to be appointed as an official ambassador for Maison Valentino,” she said. “Beyond mere beauty, I am deeply inspired by the traditional aesthetics that Valentino has cultivated over decades and the unique harmony it is set to create under the vision of the new Creative director, Alessandro Michele.”
Yoona’s appointment as a Valentino ambassador follows her appearance at the Pavillon des Folies Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show in Paris, which marked Alessandro Michele‘s debut collection for the brand. The show, which took place on September 29th, showcased Michele’s vision for the brand, incorporating bohemian chic elements such as floral motifs and polka dots into Valentino‘s Italian heritage.
“At this pivotal moment, being part of the brand’s various activities fills me with excitement and anticipation,” added Yoona. “Having attended the Pavillon des Folies show, I was profoundly captivated by the elegance and beauty embedded in every aspect of Valentino’s designs, as well as the distinctive fusion of modern sensibilities.”
