Louis Vuitton continues to strengthen its ties with the world of sport by appointing British soccer sensation Jude Bellingham as a Friend of the House. “His authenticity, ambition and dedication both on and off the pitch embody the spirit of Louis Vuitton’s community: individuals who are champions in their fields and beyond,” the brand said in a statement.
Bellingham’s impressive first season at Real Madrid, in which the club won three trophies including the prestigious Champions League, has cemented his status as a rising star. Named La Liga’s player of the season, the 21-year-old midfielder is a strong contender for this year’s coveted Ballon d’Or. As the new season unfolds, fans are eagerly anticipating his partnership with new teammate Kylian Mbappé.
Prior to his remarkable €103 million move to Real Madrid, Bellingham had stints with Birmingham City Football Club and Borussia Dortmund.
To celebrate Bellingham’s new role, photographer Gabriel Moses captured the player in his iconic open-armed goal celebration pose, styled by Matthew Henson.
Bellingham’s association with Louis Vuitton predates his official appointment. At the 2022 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, where he received the Kopa Trophy for the world’s best under-21 player, Bellingham wore a stunning Louis Vuitton double-breasted blazer with pearl buttons and flared pants. He also graced the front row of Pharrell Williams‘ debut show for Spring/Summer 2024 as Louis Vuitton’s Creative director of menswear in June 2023.
Williams expressed his excitement to welcome Bellingham to the Louis Vuitton family, saying, “His charismatic personality and what he has already achieved on his inspiring journey will add so much to our LVers community.”
This collaboration follows Bellingham‘s recent appearance in a campaign for Skims Mens underwear and the launch of his first signature collection with adidas Originals, further cementing his status as a most stylish player.
