Hed Mayner continued to make a statement and redefine the men’s wardrobe, introducing new textures and ingenious cuts this season that were about “removing the class, gender, status“.
Far from “overwrought statements of seasonal quirk”, he wrote a statement in his collection notes, the collection had his wardrobe rooted in a touch of dreamy poetry, even if he argued otherwise. Many of the designs had bare backs, layered by others with contrasting colors, creating two-dimensional looks and “a strong contrast between the front and back”.
Inspired by antique bed linens, their shapes and embellishments, the collection was largely dominated by natural hues, white, beige, blue ecru, brown…, also featuring rectangular shapes with eyelet, lace patterns while spoon-shaped earrings echo the theme.
