Mugler Fragrances has announced Chinese superstar Cai Xukun as its new global ambassador. He brings his distinctive flair to Mugler‘s latest campaign for Angel Fantasm Eau de Parfum Sensuelle.
Shot in striking monochrome, the campaign features Cai in a bespoke Mugler ensemble designed by Creative director Casey Cadwallader. “Cai embodies fearless attitude and pioneering personality in music and fashion align perfectly with the spirit of Mugler Fragrances,” the brand said, positioning him as a natural fit for its rebellious legacy.
Angel Fantasm, the latest addition to the iconic Angel galaxy launched in 1992, is billed as a “fierce new black star“. The scent blends creamy coconut and earthy patchouli with amber and juicy fruit accords, offering a modern twist on the original’s bold femininity.

The campaign reflects Cai‘s resurgence; after being cleared of sexual misconduct allegations last year, the 25-year-old has regained his status as a fashion heavyweight. In May 2024, he joined Versace‘s roster of global ambassadors. Last October, he attended the Mugler Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris.
Their collaboration highlights Mugler’s strategic pivot to China. In the summer of 2024, the brand cemented its presence with a Shanghai pop-up at the Réel mall, showcasing ready-to-wear, handbags and iconic fragrances such as Alien and Angel. The Shanghai outpost also showcases Mugler’s Les Exceptions collection, featuring scents such as Mystic Aromatic and Cuir Impertinent.
