Bally’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign blends past and present, showcasing Creative director Simone Bellotti’s second collection. This visually stunning campaign combines contemporary backstage shots by Olivier Kervern with archival photographs by Karlheinz Weinberger, creating a compelling dialogue between the eras.
Kervern’s candid images, captured backstage at the runway show and in Milan’s historic Palazzo Serbelloni, provide an intimate look at Bally‘s latest offerings. These vibrant, full-color photographs exude spontaneity and modern sophistication.
Contrasting beautifully with Kervern’s work are Weinberger’s black-and-white snapshots of Zurich in the 1960s. A key inspiration for the season, these images depict a fascinating fusion of European tradition and the emerging punk aesthetic. Dressed in denim, leather, shearling and chunky knitwear, Weinberger’s subjects embody a youthful spirit that feels both nostalgic and surprisingly contemporary.
The juxtaposition of these two photographic styles creates a compelling visual narrative. It highlights the enduring elements of fashion while celebrating evolution and innovation. Bally’s campaign succeeds in honoring its Swiss heritage while presenting a globally appealing aesthetic.
