N°21 Fall/Winter 2023, the latest menswear collection from Alessandro Dell’Acqua, marks a departure from sportswear and logo-heavy streetwear that has been prevalent in recent years. Instead, the collection embraces a “bourgeois attitude” and incorporates elements of rebellion, sensuality, and nonchalance. The collection is heavily influenced by the designer’s favorite decade, the ’90s, featuring contrasting stitching on suits and coats, oxford cloth and striped shirts, and cool wool coats with chiffon flowers and feathery details for a dandier vibe. Additionally, sequins are included for a seductive liquid effect, and a marine theme is present with navy peacoats and chunky knits. The most striking addition to the collection is the inclusion of the twin-set, typically a feminine staple, for men, which is presented in various iterations, ranging from eccentric to conformist, often adorned with a brooch as a symbol of wealth and status.
