The fashion world moves fast, but Alessandro Michele wants us to slow down. His Valentino Pre-Fall 2025 campaign, photographed by Glen Luchford, trades spectacle for subtlety, finding beauty in the everyday. In a letter titled “The Poetics of Everyday,” Michele wrote: “Re-enchanting the everyday, trying to inhabit it poetically is not an easy task.” His solution? “A fixed camera focused on life, as it happens.”

The campaign unfolds in front of a pastel ice cream parlor, a nostalgic setting that contrasts with Valentino‘s intricate designs. Glen Luchford captures these ordinary yet magical moments – models enjoying ice cream, playing with yo-yos, and puzzling over Rubik’s cubes – all with a remarkable stillness that feels almost revolutionary in today’s fast-paced fashion world.

The campaign features an impressive roster of celebrity offspring including Kai Schreiber (daughter of Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber), Scarlett White (daughter of Jack White and Karen Elson) and Amelia Gray (daughter of Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna), as well as actress Sophie Thatcher and models Marie Sophie Wilson, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Yuri Fukuhara, Sanique, Yilan Hua, Aimee Patricia Byrne, Yar Aguer, Franklin Smith, Bukwop, Luukas Niskanen, Suyong Jung, Hank Akerlund and Glory.

What makes the Valentino Pre-Fall 2025 campaign unique is its commitment to finding beauty in the everyday. The campaign images have a still-life quality, with subjects caught in the middle of action in what Michele calls “seemingly insignificant gestures” that connect us to “the pattern of life.”

Jonathan Kaye’s styling perfectly complements this vision, while Paul Hanlon handles the hair, Yadim Carranza creates the make-up looks, and Lauren Michelle works on the manicures. Set design by Gideon Ponte and casting by Rachel Chandler.

Alessandro Michele’s vision for Valentino Pre-Fall 2025 isn’t about making big statements. It’s a reminder that fashion, at its best, can make us see the world differently – one small, poetic moment at a time.
