Timothée Chalamet makes history as the first solo male cover star of British Vogue in 106-year history, fronting the October 2022 issue. Shot by photographer Steven Meisel, the ‘’Bones & All’’ star wears a shimmery jacket and black shirt from Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière on the first cover (above) and a Stella McCartney vest with a Chrome Hearts leather cuff bracelet on the second (below). Both covers are accompanied by a pearl choker and gold necklace from Justine Clenquet.
For the cover story, styled by British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, the Franco-American actor embraces leading brands such as Balmain, Contemporary Wardrobe, Versace, Diesel, Prada, Found & Vision, Isabel Marant, Gucci, Intimissimi, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann and Mugler.
In the interview with Giles Hattersley – Vogue’s European features director – Chalamet reveals that Leonardo DiCaprio gave him two pieces of advice for his career in Hollywood: “No hard drugs and no superhero movies”.
He speaks candidly about life during the pandemic, saying “when COVID hit, it required me to take a step back and be humbled” by doing mundane tasks such as “taxes and the dentist and real adulting, you know? I should have been trying to get my adult feet under myself a little bit earlier than I did”.
