Thom Browne has planted its distinctive flag firmly in the luxury retail landscape of Palm Beach, Florida with the opening of its newest boutique in the historic Royal Poinciana Plaza Playhouse. Designed by architect John Volk in the late 1950s, the Plaza is a treasured historic landmark within Palm Beach’s architectural heritage. With 180,000 square foot (16 723 m²) of upscale shopping experiences, lush landscaping and two elegant courtyards, the location has established itself as a premier destination for discerning shoppers.
The 1,500 square foot (140 m²) store reflects the brand’s signature aesthetic. Vinyl-covered wooden windows frame the entrance, while silver travertine stone walls and flooring create a sleek, timeless interior. The space is divided into two main areas: one dedicated to the men’s, women’s and children’s ready-to-wear collections, and another highlighting eyewear, footwear, handbags and beauty products. A wood-lined lattice ceiling with integrated lighting adds warmth and makes the boutique feel both luxurious and inviting.
To celebrate the opening, Thom Browne partnered with renowned restaurant Sant Ambroeus, creating a branded seersucker ice cream cart for the opening festivities and hosting a private luncheon that brought together members of the local community.
