The Parisian label Y-PROJECT was launched in 2010 by the designer Yohan Serfaty who passed away in 2013. The artistic direction of the label has since been assumed by Glenn Martens.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Glenn Martens trained with Jean Paul Gaultier before founding his eponymous line and then heading the Parisian unisex label Y/Project in 2013. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of historical and subcultural references, the Belgian designer pushes the boundaries of the brand., with his androgynous cuts and subversive assemblages.
