Great French couturier, André Courrèges founded his fashion house, with his wife Coqueline, in 1961. He is the promoter of the miniskirt and pants for women. In the midst of a revolution in morals, success came quickly and in the following decade, the brand launched into perfumery and fashion, before becoming a real empire.
The over diversification of its activities led, in the 90s, to the brand’s decline. Bought out by two former advertisers, courrèges is gradually returning to the forefront of the fashion scene in 2011, and in September 2020, the house of courrèges appointed the Belgian designer Nicolas Di Felice as the new Artistic Director of the house.
