Simone Bellotti is the new Creative director at Jil Sander. Effective immediately, Bellotti takes over from Luke and Lucie Meier, who departed after the Fall/Winter 2025 show in Milan last month.
Bellotti’s tenure at Bally began in May 2023, following a 16-year tenure at Gucci, where he succeeded Rhuigi Villaseñor. His first collection for Bally, presented during Milan Fashion Week last September, was praised for its elegant tailoring and contemporary yet respectful interpretation of the brand’s rich heritage. Since then, his collections have been widely acclaimed for skillfully honoring Bally’s 174-year legacy while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary perspective. Art and culture are cornerstones of Bellotti’s creative influence.

In a statement, Renzo Rosso, Chairman of the OTB Group, praised Bellotti, saying, “Simone embarks on this journey with extensive experience and a distinct talent. Over the time spent together we shared the strategic vision and mission for Jil Sander, the values of innovation and sophistication that make it an iconic and unique brand.”
Bellotti’s career spans more than two decades, with senior design roles at Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Gianfranco Ferré. His expertise in ready-to-wear and accessories aligns seamlessly with Jil Sander’s ethos. “I am incredibly honored to join Jil Sander, a storied house that created a new aesthetic with its unique approach and strong identity, and that has always had such a significant influence on the design community,” said Bellotti. “I am grateful to Renzo for the trust, and I am keen to contribute to the house’s full potential.”
Bellotti’s arrival at Jil Sander coincides with other strategic changes within the brand’s parent company, OTB. Just weeks ago, Serge Brunschwig, formerly Chairman and CEO of Fendi, joined OTB as Chief Strategy Officer, further signaling the group’s ambitious plans for Jil Sander‘s future growth.
Last August, Bally International A.G. was purchased from JAB by a subsidiary of Regent, which also owns Club Monaco and Escada. Ennio Fontana is currently serving as chief executive, following the departure of CEO Nicolas Girotto in October.
