Saint Laurent has opened its newest and largest store in New York City at 72 Gansevoort Street.
Creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s vision is realized through the boutique’s striking architectural elements. The two-story Meatpacking District space features a striking black wooden staircase that serves as the store’s central architectural feature.
Meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the space with carefully selected materials. Marble displays contrast beautifully with the corrugated concrete walls, while black mirrored surfaces create depth throughout the interior. Distinctive furnishings, including black Cosmic and Travertino marble tables, complement blue-glazed ceramic niches and sleek black glass counters.
The store’s ambiance is enhanced by an exceptional collection of vintage furniture by legendary designers. Pieces by Gustav Stickley, Francis Jourdain and Frank Lloyd Wright add historical significance to the contemporary environment.
The new Saint Laurent boutique will offer the full range of the house’s products. The extensive product range includes women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, as well as a wide selection of handbags, shoes, accessories and fine jewelry. This new location strengthens the brand’s presence in New York, complementing the existing boutiques at 3 East 57 Street and 80 Greene Street.
