Louis Vuitton continues to make waves in the fashion industry with its latest announcement: rapper Terrence LeVarr Thornton, better known as Pusha T, has been named the house’s newest ambassador. The rapper joins an impressive roster of celebrities including Korean actor Gong Yoo, athletes Victor Wembanyama and Carlos Alcaraz, K-pop stars such as BTS‘ J-Hope, Stray Kids‘ Felix, GOT7‘s BamBam and more.
Pusha T’s longtime friendship with Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s current menswear Creative director, undoubtedly played a role in this exciting collaboration. The two Virginia Beach natives have a long history of working together, with Williams producing several tracks on Pusha T’s critically acclaimed album “It’s Almost Dry“.
Since taking the helm at Louis Vuitton, Williams has brought his star-studded network to the brand, featuring the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Jay-Z in his debut show. Rihanna even starred in his first ad campaign, while Tyler, the Creator was invited to design a capsule collection. Given Pusha T’s close relationship with Williams, it comes as no surprise that the rapper and his brother Gene (professionally known as No Malice) were invited to Williams’ first show at the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris last June.
Pusha T’s involvement with Louis Vuitton has only grown since then. He walked the runway at the brand’s Western-themed Fall/Winter 2024 show in January, and sat front row with No Malice at the Spring/Summer 2025 show at UNESCO headquarters last month.
Louis Vuitton praised Pusha T for his “razor-sharp lyrical storytelling” and influence on the music scene, citing his collaborations with industry giants such as Ye, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Tyga and Future. The brand said, “His ambassadorial nomination at Louis Vuitton is a testament to his commitment to artistry and a strong personal style, both echoing the maison’s own dedication to unique expression across fashion and culture.”
The Maison also emphasized the importance of Pusha T‘s role in bringing together diverse cultural influences to create powerful storytelling within its menswear universe. Louis Vuitton expressed its excitement for the collaborative journey ahead with the rapper.
Pusha T is no stranger to fashion collaborations, having worked with brands such as adidas, BAPE and Marcelo Burlon in the past. Last year, he even attended the Met Gala as a guest of Thom Browne.
