Puma collaborates with New York-based designer Danielle Guizio to breathe new life into the legendary Speedcat.
Guizio, a self-taught designer known for her feminine touch, has put her unique stamp on the Speedcat low-top sneaker. The limited-edition Speedcat Mesh release showcases her creative prowess with eye-catching lime and cream colorways set against a rubber sole. A special “Guizio” tab adorns the upper to commemorate this groundbreaking collaboration.
Later this year, Puma and Danielle Guizio will unveil a second iteration of the Speedcat Mesh in a sleek black and white colorway, further cementing their partnership.
Originally designed for Formula 1 racing in 1999, the Speedcat gained unexpected popularity in fashion circles in the mid-2000s. Recognizing its cultural significance, Puma officially reintroduced the Speedcat in June 2024, setting the stage for this exciting collaboration.
The Puma x Danielle Guizio Speedcat Mesh was already available exclusively at Guizio’s new flagship store at 81 Greene Street in New York City.
