Acclaimed actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu joins L’Oréal Paris as its newest ambassador in France. The beloved “Emily in Paris” star will front the “Age Perfect Collagen Expert” campaign, which launches on June 9th.
Her message as ambassador is clear: reject rigid labels. “We’re in a very polarized society, and we keep on damning people and putting them into boxes. It’s easier, obviously, for our understanding of the world, and it’s also easier because we are scared,” she explained. “But it cuts us off from everything and each other. I have this utopic idea that we could try to loosen these doors that we shut on people and try to be open.”

Age, she believes, should never define a person. “Life is like a succession of different experiences. It has nothing to do with numbers. Let’s just be very soft and cool about that.”
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu spent her childhood in Rome, surrounded by a family of artists. At 16, she moved to Paris to study theater and begin her acting career. Her first film role was in “Surprise Party“, directed by Roger Vadim. But it was “Three Men and a Cradle” two years later that really put her on the map. Her role as a strong, independent mother in the film earned her a César nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Decades later, in her 50s, she became a fan favorite as Catherine Barneville in “Call My Agent!” Then came “Emily in Paris,” in which she plays the sharp and stylish Sylvie Grateau.
Leroy-Beaulieu has long favored skin care over heavy make-up. As a teenager, her grandmother took her to beauty salons for skin treatments, sparking her love of creams. While she wears make-up for work, her daily routine is simple – just mascara.

Marie-Julie Monnot, General Manager of L’Oréal Paris France, praised her as a “unique vision of a flourishing and uninhibited beauty.”
The brand also highlighted her timeless elegance, calling her a symbol of French style beloved by all ages. The brand praised her fearless attitude, saying she motivates women to live boldly at every stage of life – because the best age is always now.

In addition to preparing for the fifth season of “Emily in Paris,” the actress recently wrapped filming for “100 Days,” a movie based on the true story of Brazilian explorer Amyr Klink’s historic rowing boat crossing of the South Atlantic, directed by Academy Award nominee Carlos Saldanha. Leroy-Beaulieu plays the lead role and also produced the film.
