Stepping into the realm of subdued elegance, Officine Générale‘s Fall/Winter 2023 campaign, led by image director Nina Mahéo and ace photographer Laurence Ellis, paints Paris with a distinctively serene brush. Gone are the flamboyant strokes of typical Parisian couture campaigns. Here, we find solace in authenticity.
Through Ellis’ lens, models Maggie Maurer and Niels Trispel are transformed into an enigmatic couple. Their very essence, although subtly elusive, resonates with the aura of artists. From the cozy ambiance of their classic studio to the raw streets of Paris, their journey is a visual delight, offering an intimate view of the famed city of lights, starkly different from its oft-portrayed grandeur.
Adding layers to this tale is the styling that epitomizes the French spirit while retaining a personalized touch. It’s a narrative that is both familiar and refreshingly new, a delicate balance between quintessential French panache and individualistic charm.
“Following our ‘Monochromania’ Fall/Winter 2023 show, I wanted to capture Pierre’s ‘obsession’ with his two favorite colors, Navy and Grey. Repositioning tailoring in an urban environment was a natural choice, and so was Paris, our beloved city,” Nina Mahéo, Officine Générale‘s Image Director, expressed.
This campaign is more than just fashion. It’s a subtle narrative, capturing the heart and soul of Paris, presented with a finesse that is rare and compelling. It beckons viewers to embark on a journey, to discover a quieter side of Paris, one frame at a time.
