Marcelo Burlon, the visionary behind the iconic brand Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, has announced his departure from the role of Creative director. The Argentinian-born nightlife PR, DJ, stylist and designer, known for his unique blend of techno-folk aesthetics and nods to his Patagonian roots, founded the brand in 2012 as a t-shirt project that quickly evolved into a full-fledged fashion powerhouse.
New Guards Group, the parent company of Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, said the brand’s team will continue to design the collections.

In 2014, Burlon’s talent was recognized when he was invited to be a guest designer at Pitti Uomo, solidifying his position within the fashion system and the men’s arena. The following year, he teamed up with Davide De Giglio and Claudio Antonioli to create the New Guards Group, which was later acquired by Farfetch in 2017.
During his tenure as Creative director, Burlon celebrated the brand’s 10th anniversary in 2022 with a spectacular show during Milan Fashion Week, featuring a giant satellite at the Velodromo Vigorelli venue and a cast of 50 friends of the house.
In recent years, Burlon has also focused on giving back to the community through his Fondazione Marcelo Burlon, which supports disadvantaged people and marginalized communities.
His philanthropic efforts include donations to Casa Marcella, a shelter for transgender people in Tuscany, and aid to Ukrainian refugees in Milan.
