Renowned Japanese graphic artist Verdy has collaborated with Swatch to create a captivating limited-edition timepiece, the Vick Bronze by Verdy, inspired by his impressive 4-meter bronze sculpture of the iconic panda-rabbit character Vick, unveiled at the Venice Biennale. This collaboration marks a significant departure from Vick’s signature black and white color scheme, as both the sculpture and the watch feature a striking anodized bronze brown hue.
The Swatch Vick Bronze by Verdy watch, part of the brand’s Biennale Special collection, features Verdy’s beloved character throughout its design. Based on the versatile 34mm GENT silhouette, the timepiece features a warm bronze tone on the case, dial and bracelet. The hour and minute hands elegantly complement the watch’s color palette with a soft gold tone, while the second hand adds a vibrant pop of bright red, mirroring Vick’s tongue on the dial.

One of the most intriguing aspects of this limited edition timepiece is the hidden feature of Vick’s tongue color. The tongue color will change daily from red to orange, pink, and yellow, adding an extra layer of playfulness to the piece, in keeping with Verdy’s artistic philosophies.
The Swatch Vick Bronze by Verdy limited edition wristwatch is priced at an accessible $105 USD and is currently available through official Swatch channels.
