Louis Vuitton has unveiled a stunning trophy trunk to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1. This exclusive piece, designed in collaboration with Formula 1, will be unveiled at the F1 75 event at The O2 in London, where all ten teams will unveil their 2025 liveries. The event marks a historic moment as drivers, team principals and fans come together for the first time in the sport’s history.

The trophy trunk will be awarded to the season’s top driver. Crafted in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières atelier, the case features the brand’s iconic black and white Damier canvas, inspired by the checkered flag of victory. A bold ‘V‘ emblem – representing both ‘Vuitton‘ and ‘Victory‘ – dominates the design, while the interior’s plush black leather and microfiber lining ensure the trophy is cradled in luxury. Brass corner protectors and the House’s iconic lock and clasps hold everything together, just as they have since the 1860s.
Louis Vuitton’s association with the automotive world spans more than a century, dating back to 1897, when Georges Vuitton recognized the shift from horse-drawn carriages to automobiles. In response, he created “Vuittonite,” a durable, all-weather canvas that made trunks more resilient for the jet (or rather, car) set. This innovative material has evolved into the iconic Louis Vuitton canvas used today and has now been reimagined for the world of Formula 1.
The trophy trunk builds on Louis Vuitton‘s ongoing partnership with Formula 1, which began with the Monaco Grand Prix Trophy Trunk from 2021 to 2024.
