It was in the historic Galerie Vivienne where 52 years ago, Kenzo Takada launched his first show here under the name of Jungle Jap – a collection that would later make history – that they came to applaud the very promising debut of one of them. Kanye West and Julia Fox, Tyler, the Creator, Pusha T, Shygirl, J Balvin, Gunna, Big Matthew, Sik-k and Pharrell Williams, among others, all in the front row of one of the most anticipated fashion shows of the season.

Between finesse and floral explosion, Nigo cleverly revisited all the classic themes of the most Parisian of Japanese fashion houses. Most of the silhouettes charmed with their colorful floral prints, a highly courted and recurring motif of the founder, while the tiger, highly popularized under Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, was back here in a new form, sometimes in a very playful way.

The other key motif was a series of cool stencil prints of fashion sketches by Kenzo Takada. The silhouettes, on the other hand, were non-gender, mixing American and Japanese influences, accessorized with funky headgear and logo berets.
