British actor Henry Cavill has joined Longines as its Ambassador of Elegance. He highlights the brand’s philosophy. “True quality doesn’t need to announce itself. It’s evident in every detail and in every action,” he said. “This is a philosophy, backed by generations of precision craftsmanship and artistry, that resonates deeply with my own values.”
Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines, emphasized Cavill’s alignment with the brand’s values. “His sophistication, genuine warmth and multifaceted personality reflect what elegance means today. Whether commanding the screen in epic productions or sharing his passions for aviation and equestrianism, he maintains an authenticity and grace that makes him a clear embodiment of the Longines spirit.”
In his new role, Cavill plans to visit the company’s headquarters in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, to observe the meticulous techniques honed since 1832.
The collaboration comes as Longines prepares to celebrate its bicentennial in 2032, a milestone marked by sustained innovation. In September 2023, the Mini Dolcevita, a refreshed version of the iconic 1997 design and Longines bestseller, was launched with Jennifer Lawrence, another Longines ambassador.
The list of Ambassadors of Elegance also included British actress Kate Winslet and Hungarian top model Barbara Palvin.
