Silvana Armani presented her second ready-to-wear collection at the Armani/Teatro, returning the label to the Tadao Ando-designed space after last season’s more intimate presentation. The setting was reduced and graphic, built around white surfaces, geometric lines and reflective details. That controlled environment suited a collection focused on black, ivory and gold.
Tailoring remained central. The opening looks established the main idea quickly. Jackets retained the softness associated with Armani, but shoulders appeared slightly firmer and construction more defined. This was not a rejection of the founder’s approach. Instead, Silvana Armani seemed interested in testing how much structure could be added before the clothes lost their characteristic ease.
That question continued through suits broken into separate components. Black jackets appeared with gold-striped trousers, while other combinations reversed the contrast. Wide trousers remained important, but Bermuda shorts also became a recurring shape. They were worn with jackets, simple tops and more decorated evening pieces, giving the collection a practical sense of flexibility.
Eveningwear followed the same controlled approach. Long dresses used fluid black fabrics, translucent surfaces, crystals and fine embellishment without becoming overloaded. Several pieces relied on narrow lines, exposed shoulders or restrained decoration rather than elaborate volume. A nude-toned gown covered with delicate sparkling details showed how the collection could move into formal territory while still appearing light.
Flat shoes were used throughout much of the presentation, including loafers, boots and open-toe styles. Their presence mattered because they kept the clothes connected to everyday dressing. Small heels also appeared, but comfort and proportion seemed more important than height.
Accessories were similarly edited. Compact bags and clutches avoided unnecessary ornament, while jewellery introduced one of the collection’s clearest symbolic elements: butterflies. They appeared as brooches, pendants and decorative details, suggesting transformation without turning the theme into a literal statement.
