Giambattista Valli unveiled his Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection, a vibrant celebration of Moroccan inspiration blended with Parisian craftsmanship. The designer’s deep affection for Morocco radiated through each piece, transforming the runway into an enchanting mosaic of colors and textures.
Upon arriving in Morocco, Valli switched from his usual black clothes to vibrant prints and hues. The country’s rich culture and captivating landscapes influence his mood and style, infusing his designs with fresh perspectives. This collection featured airy puffball skirts, regal caftans that shimmered like gold, and tiered gowns in fluttering silk chiffon.
Inspired by the serene Menara Gardens in Marrakech, the bohemian elegance of Talitha Getty in the 1960s, and the intricate beauty of opulent riads, Valli infused the collection with a sense of peaceful sophistication. The show opened with a grand striped caftan with a sweeping watteau back, as models gracefully walked along a narrow stretch of azilal carpet, immersing the audience in Moroccan ambiance.

Each garment told its own story – some with bold, graphic designs and dramatic volumes, others embellished with intricate beading, luxurious jacquards and opulent jewelry reminiscent of royalty. This harmonious blend highlighted a conversation between cultures, where Moroccan allure met the finesse of Parisian haute couture.
Among the distinguished guests was Megan Thee Stallion, who attended her first high fashion show in a draped, sherbet-orange hooded gown. She captured the moment on her smartphone, documenting the dramatic fishtail silhouettes and ruffled cape gowns that graced the runway.
Woven throughout the collection were elegant ivory gowns – draped and caped silk chiffon creations that exuded serene beauty. These pieces echoed Valli’s previous forays into bridal and exuded a timeless charm. A standout was a flowing shell pink tunic with a regal yet effortless allure, a piece his eternal muse, Lee Radziwill, would have appreciated.
Giambattista Valli’s optimism shines through his work. Despite global challenges, he maintains a hopeful outlook and channels positivity into his designs. His collection conveys a sense of beauty and well-being, offering a lightness and romance that feels both youthful and meticulously crafted.
