The latest collection from EGONlab for Fall/Winter 2023, titled “Parasomnia“, draws inspiration from the fearless fashion choices that come out at night.
The brand, with its punk aesthetic at its core, has taken on a moody and defiant tone for this season’s offerings while staying true to its punk roots.
The collection began with a selection of tailored pieces, featuring blazers and overcoats boasting striking shoulder details and enlarged sleeves. A standout item was a fuchsia-colored oversized, boxy-cut coat with elongated sleeves, paired with knee-less leather pants and a skinny-striped scarf. Knitwear also held a prominent place in the collection, including oversized sweaters adorned with large letter Es and distress detailing. The collection also included a variety of tops, featuring designs such as motion-blur floral prints and painting-inspired button-down shirts.
What sets this collection apart is the combination of fabrics, showcasing the diverse fashion choices of the night. The collection showcases a range of fabrics from fur, leather, houndstooth, nylon, silk, multiple shades of denim and velvet. It’s a demonstration of expert textile mixing and matching. The collection’s showstopper was a multicolored tinsel coat that will add a pop of color to any night time attire.
