The handsome boys with attitude and casual style of Dsquared2‘s Caten twin brothers took over the giant new Super Studio south of Milan for a collection that definitely invited relaxation and cool-attitude.
“There’s enough bull in the world, enough hate. We want to be as positive as possible, chilled out and more connected“, said Dan Caten. And that wishful thinking was bound to be reflected in the collection, with its bright, bold colors covering all garments, giving the collection an island, tropical vibe.
Surf culture and the popularity of 1970s Jamaican reggae were other themes in the collection. The Caten brothers instilled the “spirit, energy and messages” of Bob Marley, reproducing the portrait and quotes of The King of Reggae, courtesy of the Bob Marley Foundation, and colors of the Jamaican flag on t-shirts, bags, beach bags and many other pieces.
Other nods to the ’70s and the cool-attitude were expressed in flared pants, floral prints, tie-dye effects, waist sarongs, swirly patterns and sunny motifs to evoke a free-spirited attitude.
