Instead of a conventional runway show, the Diesel Spring/Summer 2026 collection was presented in an unconventional way. Instead, creative director Glenn Martens set Milan in motion with an ambitious egg hunt that transformed the city into a live stage for fashion.

Over 5,000 people registered to participate, racing through streets, gardens, theaters, and piazzas in search of 34 transparent, egg-shaped capsules. Inside each capsule, a model stood dressed in a piece from the new collection, transforming the entire city into a participatory showcase. The spectacle was democratic and disruptive, engaging locals and visitors alike.
Prizes added an extra element of excitement to the event. The fastest participants won complete denim outfits, Diesel accessories, and pieces from the Spring/Summer 2026 runway, which were custom-fitted and delivered by the holiday season. Fashion became a public treasure hunt, reflecting Martens’s belief that Diesel should appeal to people of all backgrounds.

The collection itself showcased Martens’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of experimentation. Satin denim, a fabric developed by Diesel, was used for dresses, skirts, and outerwear with a glossy finish and a distressed surface. The fabric was treated with lasers to create a cracked effect. Vivid colors like purple, lime, and sky blue created an eye-catching palette, while biker straps and long hems gave the silhouettes a sharper profile.
Animal-inspired motifs were featured on minidresses, knits, and tailored pieces, alongside trompe l’oeil effects that made garments appear to have layers breaking apart. Double-layered pieces revealed hidden textures beneath, adding an element of discovery to the clothing.

Accessories continued Diesel’s playful approach. New bags, such as the slouchy Load-D and the structured D-Pods, expanded the brand’s vocabulary of bold shapes. Footwear stood out with sculptural heels and oversized track soles. Jewelry and eyewear featured exaggerated forms and metallic accents.
