After the success of its coed Fall/Winter 2025 show earlier this year, the Roman fashion house will once again skip the Milan Fashion Week men’s calendar in June, opting instead for a combined coed runway show in September to unveil the Fendi Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Milan Fashion Week, scheduled for September 23rd-29th.
Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic director of accessories and menswear collections, will continue to lead the creative direction for the presentation. The granddaughter of founder Adele Fendi, Venturini Fendi has been designing Fendi menswear since 2000 and is well known for creating the iconic Baguette bag in 1997.
This will be only the third time Fendi has opted for a mixed runway. The first was for Spring/Summer 2021, during the pandemic.
While the exact date and location have yet to be announced, the show will coincide with the opening of Palazzo Fendi, the brand’s expansive new flagship store on Via Montenapoleone. The space will include four retail floors and a langosteria restaurant in collaboration with restaurateur Enrico Buonocore and Archive, an investment group founded by Moncler’s Remo Ruffini. The previous Fall/Winter 2025 event also coincided with the reopening of the renovated Spazio Fendi on Via Solari, the brand’s longtime Milan showroom and runway venue.
Meanwhile, speculation continues over who will succeed Kim Jones, who stepped down last October after four years as Artistic director of Fendi‘s haute couture, ready-to-wear and women’s fur collections. Potential candidates range from emerging talents to established designers, including Frida Giannini, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.
