Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s menswear Creative director, has teamed up with fellow artist Tyler, the Creator for a capsule collection that’s as sweet as it is stylish. This is Tyler’s first stand-alone collaboration with the French luxury brand, and it’s a delicious blend of their shared love of bold colors, playful graphics and a touch of irreverence. The collection drops March 21st.
The collection revolves around Tyler’s hand-drawn take on the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram, aptly named the “Craggy Monogram“. This distorted, almost graffiti-like motif appears on everything from cozy fleece jackets to collectibles like a cereal bowl. The pièce de résistance? A special edition Courrier Lozine 110 trunk, priced at a cool 68,000 euros, reflecting Tyler’s well-known love of luggage and marking the most expensive piece in the collection. But fear not, fashionistas on a budget, accessories start at a more wallet-friendly €210 for a silk pocket square.

Tyler’s love of sweets takes center stage with delightful details like éclair-shaped pouches and waffle slides in delicious “flavors” like chocolate and pistachio. Even the caramel short suit features a jacquard motif that mixes monogram letters with macaroons and doughnuts, and even Airedale terriers, a recurring motif in Tyler’s artistic universe.
The collection is not all pastries and poodles. Described by Louis Vuitton as “an instinctive union,” the collection seamlessly blends Tyler’s signature “preppy sophistication” with the elegant dandy style Williams has established at the house. Think baby blue cable-knit sweaters, oversized striped collar blousons and pink monogrammed nubuck derby boots – all exuding timeless Parisian chic with Tyler’s playful touch.
Golf, another of Tyler’s passions, finds its way into the collection through windbreakers, anoraks and zipped cardigans in a vibrant Damier check pattern in pink or green. Bags are adorned with playful pink daisy-shaped charms, while a small cross-body bag in the shape of a bounding dog adds a touch of whimsy.
In addition to apparel and accessories, the collection offers a range of collectibles for die-hard fans. A travel chessboard features Tyler’s hand-drawn pieces that resemble melted chocolate, and golf enthusiasts can snag a full set of clubs, headgear, a golf bag and towels, all in the grass-green Damier pattern.
Like Williams, the rapper, who goes by the full name Tyler Okonma, has a wide range of interests, from producing tracks and directing music videos to writing and performing as an artist.
The rapper oversees not only his streetwear label, Golf Wang, but also its upscale counterpart, Golf le Fleur. He previously collaborated with Louis Vuitton, providing the soundtrack for its Fall/Winter 2022 runway show, the final collection by the late Virgil Abloh.
