Y-3, the collaboration between adidas and renowned designer Yohji Yamamoto, presented its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. As the original “Uniform of the Streets“, Y-3 celebrates its roots with a graphic-driven selection of garments that pay homage to the label’s iconic past.
The collection, which returned to the Paris Fashion Week stage earlier this year, features the revival of the memorable “Uniform of the Streets” graphic from Spring/Summer 2018. This time, Y-3 has stripped away additional elements, leaving only the essential “Y-3” text, accentuated by a bold brushstroke motif.
As the first partnership to successfully combine sportswear and artisanal fashion, Y-3 draws on the expertise of both adidas and Yohji Yamamoto to create its distinctive aesthetic language. The “Uniform of the Streets” capsule collection showcases this unique fusion, with graphic treatments inspired by football jerseys juxtaposed with loose, unfinished threads that nod to Yamamoto’s artisanal approach to design.
Key pieces in the collection include a trainer jacket, cargo-style pants, a blazer and an elongated vest, all of which feature the “Uniform of the Streets” graphic as woven labels with embroidery meticulously stitched onto each garment. The collection also features a knit vest and crewneck sweater that incorporate the graphic in a woven treatment, adding depth and texture to these standout pieces.
The first drop from Y-3‘s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is now available in stores and select retailers worldwide.
