Victoria Beckham‘s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris was a testament to her resilience. Despite a broken foot sustained at the gym, Beckham didn’t miss a beat. She even walked the runway, crutches and all, after the presentation, receiving a warm ovation from the crowd.
The collection itself offered a fascinating exploration of silhouettes. Inspired by the concept of a physical wardrobe, Beckham played with strong shoulder lines and suspended garments, referencing the way women hold clothes up to themselves for assessment.

A key element of the show was the introduction of the “elevator trouser,” a high-waisted, low-crotch design that flares dramatically at the bottom. Paired with cropped leather jackets or classic outerwear, these trousers offered a modern take on elongated proportions.
Beckham also showcased her signature tailoring with sharp navy suits and oversized collars on coats. Practical elements like duffle coats, trenches, and waxed jackets added a touch of realism to the collection.
While the familiar 1930s-style slip dresses made an appearance, the show also introduced new shapes, including ballerina-length ball gowns with plunging necklines and voluminous skirts.
