Uniqlo teams up with British designer Anya Hindmarch for the first time in its history. The partnership, which symbolizes a fusion of Uniqlo‘s minimalist charm and Hindmarch’s creative vision, will launch on November 23rd, 2023. The Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch collection will be a harmonious fusion of meticulously crafted Uniqlo essentials and a dash of originality, perfect for the holiday season.
Yukihiro Katsuta, Uniqlo’s R&D Director, shares his excitement, “Anya Hindmarch’s unique creativity and modern craftsmanship are exemplary. By infusing her signature humor into Uniqlo’s essential pieces, she has created a highly anticipated LifeWear collection. We believe these garments will not only warm the body, but also lift the spirit during the festive season.”
Anya Hindmarch herself is excited about the collaboration. “I have always been a fan of Uniqlo’s practical beauty, which is in line with my design philosophy. It was an honor to collaborate, especially on the knitwear collection, as Uniqlo is celebrated for its impeccably cut, timeless knitwear. My approach was to playfully experiment with their ingenious silhouettes without altering their essence. We started by deconstructing them and then rebuilding them with unique stitching and decorative details. Working with this incredible international team was an enriching and enlightening journey.”

The collaboration features classic knit silhouettes modernized with color contrasts and visible stitching. For example, the women’s premium wool sweater features a two-tone first sleeve and a second sleeve enhanced with a patchwork-like visible stitching. The cashmere sweater has handcrafted, visible stitching on the shoulders, hem and sleeves for an artisanal touch. Even children’s garments are upgraded with premium 19.5 micron wool for warmth, comfort, lightness and softness.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Uniqlo‘s HEATTECH collection, this collaboration includes winter accessories with the famous HEATTECH technology. A standout feature is Anya Hindmarch’s captivating “Eyes” motif, which adorns unique pieces such as the knit beanie’s turnback cuff and the stole’s pocket. Socks and gloves in solid colors to match the wool sweaters and stoles also feature the embroidered ”Eyes” motif, adding a playful yet sophisticated touch to the winter ensemble.
