Tommy Hilfiger transformed the decommissioned Staten Island ferry, the MV John F. Kennedy, into a vibrant runway for his Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The iconic ship, once a symbol of New York‘s maritime history, became the stage for a fashion extravaganza that seamlessly blended classic Americana with modern, nautical flair.
The event, attended by a star-studded guest list including Colin Jost, Madelyn Cline, and Damson Idris, showcased Hilfiger’s signature preppy and collegiate codes with a fresh twist. The women’s collection featured roomy striped button-ups, varsity sweaters, and Modish mini sailor dresses, all exuding a youthful, summery vibe. The menswear line offered updated classics like Breton and Ithaca striped shirts, flowy regatta jackets, and oversized, double-pleated shorts.
Tommy Hilfiger’s runway was not just a fashion show but an experience, culminating with a surprise performance by Staten Island’s own Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon. The designer’s choice of the MV John F. Kennedy as the venue underscored his commitment to New York iconography, blending the city’s historic landmarks with his timeless designs.
