The Tod’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a reminder that elegance can thrive in restraint. Tamburini presented clothes shaped by the idea of natural ease – garments that rest softly on the body without excess.

The show took place at Milan’s PAC, where Tod’s often stages its collections. Before the runway show began, artisans in white coats worked in full view, underscoring the company’s reputation for craftsmanship. The pebble sole, a longstanding Tod’s signature, appeared not only as installation art, but also as perforated details on clothing and shoes.

Leather, Tod’s greatest strength, dominated. Flip-flops, loafers sewn by hand with multicolored leather, and boxy jackets showcased the material’s versatility. Tamburini expanded its design vocabulary with sleeveless minidresses and trenches with subtle leather trim. Stripes added a fresh note: regimental lines stitched in thin leather onto cotton poplin that transformed a man’s shirt into a woman’s dress.

The designer’s references were steeped in art and memory. Photographs from Claude Nori’s An Italian Summer and paintings by Felice Casorati suggested an atmosphere of fleeting warmth. Prints and inlaid napa leather echoed the bold geometry of Frank Stella. The collection’s palette reflected the transition of the season, featuring saffron yellows, earthy browns, and touches of burnt orange.

Accessories added depth to the collection. The Wave bag featured contrasting stitching, and open-toe Gommino pumps offered a playful twist on tradition. Everything conveyed ease without losing sophistication, offering women pieces that are sharp yet approachable.
