In an intimate setting at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, System presented its Fall/Winter 2025 collection entitled “At the Very Moment.” The show was a nostalgic journey that fused childhood memories with modern elegance. The collection reimagines classic wardrobe staples, drawing inspiration from familiar items such as plaid shirts and scarves, but reinterpreted through System’s contemporary lens.
Rich textures played an important role, with soft materials such as alpaca wool, suede and velvet creating soft silhouettes. The use of heavy woollens in deep browns, camels and khakis contrasted beautifully with lighter, sheer fabrics in pastels such as pink, lavender and mint. This combination added a dreamy quality to the collection, inviting the audience to revisit the warmth of memory.
Patterns reminiscent of a father’s old tie appeared throughout, adorning silky shirts and scarves. Classic gingham and plaid fabrics were thoughtfully incorporated, adding a comforting touch that resonated with many. The collection felt like a bridge between the past and the present, transforming the familiar into something refreshingly new.
Adding to the allure, System collaborated with Baracuta, the original British Harrington jacket brand. The partnership resulted in pieces with unique details such as stud embellishments and layering techniques that seamlessly blend classic and contemporary styles. The collaboration includes five distinctive styles, including the iconic G9 and G4 jackets, which will be released for the Fall/Winter 2025 season.
The presentation itself was infused with elements that evoke childhood nostalgia. The Gallery of Mineralogy provided a special yet comfortable atmosphere. A unique mirrored structure piqued guests’ curiosity, while thoughtful giveaways such as the System teddy bear bag pendant added a whimsical touch.
