Daniel Roseberry’s Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection signals a departure from the minimalist trend, embracing a vibrant, eccentric aesthetic. Schiaparelli, under Roseberry’s direction, champions a unique brand of “loud luxury” for Spring/Summer 2025, moving away from quiet luxury and algorithmic predictability. This collection showcases Roseberry’s skill in translating the surrealist sensibilities of Elsa Schiaparelli into wearable, contemporary pieces. The collection features a range of eye-catching designs, from denim with unconventional waistbands paired with ivory bodysuits to halter dresses in black compact jersey with off-white draping. Roseberry’s designs celebrate individuality and self-expression, with pieces that cater to a confident, extroverted clientele.
The Spring/Summer 2025 collection is not limited to a single theme. Instead, it offers a variety of looks that reflect the multifaceted personality of a fashion enthusiast. Zebra stripes, bold shoulder pads and hand-painted sequin florals all find a place in this eclectic wardrobe. Roseberry demonstrates a keen eye for detail and texture, using innovative techniques to create visual interest. Knotted blue mesh jersey dresses and suede-trimmed knit dresses with shellacked edges showcase his craftsmanship. This approach extends to footwear, with golden toe rings adorning trompe l’oeil leather babouche slides, a playful twist on the brand’s signature gold-toed sneakers.
The collection also includes reimagined menswear staples such as corseted white tank tops paired with low-rise jeans and fitted white button-down shirts. Roseberry also introduces more casual pieces, such as striped knits with trompe l’oeil sarong prints. New shoe styles, including molded-toe ballet flats, and the brand’s first soft handbag, the Hobo, round out the collection. The Hobo features golden anatomical charms arranged in a face-like configuration on the handle.
The show, which took place at the Pavillon Vendôme, drew a large crowd, including Kylie Jenner, and featured a stellar cast of models, including Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Irina Shayk and Candice Swanepoel. While the venue attracted attention, its lighting and layout were less than ideal for showcasing the collection and capturing social media content. Known for his strategic thinking, Roseberry is likely already considering a larger, more suitable venue for future ready-to-wear presentations, building on his experience with the couture show at the Petit Palais. He is methodically and strategically positioning Schiaparelli for continued growth and recognition in the luxury space.
