Korean-born, Texas-raised and UK-educated designer Rok Hwang brings his unique perspective to high fashion with his label Rokh. Known for smart tailoring and timeless elegance with a touch of subversion, Rokh has quickly gained a devoted following. Now, Hwang is collaborating with H&M for a capsule collection that reimagines classic wardrobe essentials for both men and women.
The Rokh H&M collection offers a fresh take on staples like the trench coat, with double layers and detachable hems. Dresses can be taken from elegant to edgy with adjustable elements. Corset tops and reworked denim add a touch of Hwang’s signature playfulness, while a subdued floral print and pleated skirt set offers a sophisticated alternative.
The collection isn’t just about aesthetics; it explores the possibilities of tailoring. Hwang incorporates clever details such as layered construction, removable elements and adjustable features. This allows the wearer to personalize the pieces and create unique looks by layering, altering, or even reversing garments.

“I always focus on making my collections as timeless as possible, and one way of doing that is with customisable details,” explains Hwang. “I’ve seen people wearing panels from our signature multi-button trench coat upside down and inside out, in brilliantly unique ways I never imagined when I first came up with the design. To see my clothes being interpreted by people in their own way is one of my greatest pleasures, and I can’t wait to see how customers engage with this fun and dynamic collection for H&M.”
After designing for some of the most beloved names in womenswear, Hwang launched his eponymous label, Rokh, in 2016 and began showing at Paris Fashion Week just three years later. He’s a rising star in the fashion world with a devoted following.
Rokh H&M will be launched on April 18th, 2024 in selected stores and on hm.com.
