Vogue US released its November 2019 cover starring none other than Rihanna. Captured by photographer Ethan James Green and clothed in a Fenty tulle coat, the Barbadian superstar posed for her sixth cover for the magazine.
In the cover story named ‘’A New World’’, fashion editor Tonne Goodman selects designs from labels such as Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. Beauty is work of hair stylist Yusef Williams, make-up artist Kanako Takase and manicurist Kimmie Kyees. Set design by Julia Wagner.
In the accompanying interview with Abby Aguirre, Rihanna discusses her long-awaited upcoming album ‘’R9’’, which she describes as ‘’reggae-inspired or reggae-infused’’, her love life (‘’I’m actually in an exclusive relationship for quite some time, and it’s going really well, so I’m happy.’’); and, of course, her newly founded Paris-based maison with LVMH.
‘’I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it’’, says Rihanna. ‘’I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that’’.
