Ralph Lauren, the iconic fashion designer, is poised to make a grand comeback to the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) this September. The celebrated designer is preparing to host a spectacular runway show on the night of September 8, despite the specific venue remaining under wraps for now. According to available details, the show is set to unveil a new women’s collection, with the possibility of menswear still in the realm of speculation.
NYFW has been without a Ralph Lauren presence since 2019, a year that saw the designer launching his premium supper club, Ralph’s Club, on Wall Street. The grand reveal was accompanied by an enchanting performance by Janelle Monáe. Since that time, Lauren has been organizing runway shows at off-calendar times, alternating between Los Angeles and New York.
Lauren’s latest fashion presentation in the U.S. was held at the illustrious Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California on October 13th, 2022. This event saw the introduction of fresh pieces across his entire spectrum of labels such as Purple Label, Double RL, Polo Ralph Lauren, childrenswear, and the primary men’s and women’s collections.
In earlier years, Lauren made a splash at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in March, showcasing his café society collection at his flagship store in February 2019. This came after an unforgettable celebration of the brand’s 50th anniversary with a runway at the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park in September of 2018.
Most recently, Lauren’s creations made a strong impression during the Milan Fashion Week Men’s schedule in June, where he unveiled a Purple Label collection, aptly named “Dolce Vita“.
