The upcoming issue 26 of A Magazine Curated by, to be released in December, will be guest edited by Vietnamese-American designer Peter Do. Known for his unique designs with his own brand and his work at Helmut Lang, Do brings his distinctive vision to this fashion and culture magazine.

The annual 200-page publication, guest-edited by fashion designers, explores the concept of “home,” a theme that resonates deeply with Do. His journey from Biên Hòa, Vietnam to the bustling streets of New York City provides a rich canvas for this exploration.
Adding to the allure of this issue are contributions from notable figures such as poet Ocean Vuong, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen, and Oscar-nominated director Trần Anh Hùng. Their perspectives, along with Do‘s, promise a diverse and enriching exploration of the theme.
Issue 26 is also significant in that it introduces Blake Abbie as Editor-in-chief. Abbie, the half-Chinese, half-Scottish, New York-based Canadian who served as the publication’s editor at large for a decade, steps into the role with a vision to disrupt and excite. He sees A Magazine Curated by not just as a fashion publication, but as a cultural beacon. This approach is evident in the upcoming issue, where fashion is intertwined with broader cultural narratives.
Abbie’s plans for the magazine extend beyond this issue. He wants to increase the magazine’s digital presence and expand its global footprint, particularly in North America and Asia. His focus on regions such as China and Japan reflects a strategic vision to connect with emerging and supportive fashion markets.
Abbie’s career includes significant roles in various publications such as Industry, System and Document Journal. He also gained recognition as a cast member of the reality series “Bling Empire: New York,” which highlighted the opulent lifestyle of New York City’s wealthy Asian fashion community. In addition to his work at A Magazine Curated By, Abbie is initiating the Tong creative studio. The studio’s first project, “168,” is a youth-led zine project supported by the Chinatown Storytelling Center and Vancouver’s re:Naissance Opera. This project focuses on reconnecting young people to their communities.
