The cobblestones of Paris will once again echo with the footsteps of models and fashion aficionados. An announcement from the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has declared Paris Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2024 vision. From September 25th to October 3rd, an exquisite array of 67 runway spectacles and 41 awe-inspiring presentations will bedazzle the world, and thanks to digital magic, the federation’s website will transport us all to the heart of Parisian chic.
What’s particularly gripping about this season? Marni is embarking on a Parisian sojourn. Following their New York show in 2022, the brand’s Paris debut is eagerly awaited on September 27th, precisely at 1:30 p.m. But that’s merely a single pearl on this elaborate string.
Vintage enthusiasts rejoice! Paris Fashion Week sees the prodigal return of icons like Mugler, Maison Margiela, and Carven. The city will buzz with anticipation for Mugler on October 2nd, while Maison Margiela promises enigmatic revelations at 7:30 p.m. the same evening. Meanwhile, Carven, under the innovative gaze of its new Creative director Louise Trotter, will unfurl its latest on September 30th, as the clock chimes 10:30 a.m.
Adding to the rich tapestry are labels Casablanca and Kiko Kostadinov, embracing the women’s calendar in their unique stride this season. However, the honor of initiation falls upon the capable shoulders of Belgian prodigy Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, who, after her off-schedule debut last season, will inaugurate the official calendar at 4 p.m. on September 25th.
And fear not, devotees of tradition. Powerhouses like Saint Laurent, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Miu Miu remain the sentinels of their time-honored slots. The City of Lights is poised for yet another sartorial symphony.
